Servo Dual-Drum Electric Winch 2000kg with PLC Control | KLD

Servo-driven dual-drum electric winch rated 2000 kg lifting capacity, with PLC integration, grooved drums with rope follower, mechanical height limiter and K-series hardened gearbox. Configurable speed, rope capacity and interfaces.

Engineered for precise lifting and positioning where controlled speed, orderly rope winding and repeatable operation matter. Dual grooved drums with rope followers, servo drive with PLC integration, and a mechanical height limiter for defined upper/lower travel. Rated lifting capacity 2000 kg. Configurable rope capacity, speed, voltage and control interfaces.

Quick Specs

Rated lifting capacity: 2000 kg (≈ 19.6 kN)
Rope speed: 1.8 m/min
Motor: 5 kW servo
Control: PLC integration
Protection: mechanical height limiter

Application Scenarios and Applicable Boundaries

  • Aerospace test & research facilities — slow, repeatable lifting and positioning of test rigs and instruments, where precise rope control and defined travel limits are required. PLC integration allows the winch to be coordinated with test sequences.
  • Precision positioning & assembly — lifting and lowering components into place at controlled low speed, with grooved drums and rope followers keeping the rope layer stable.
  • Laboratory gravity-balance & counterweight systems — dual-drum configuration supports balanced, synchronized lifting of paired loads.
  • Material handling with limited space — compact footprint on a single base frame with pre-drilled mounting holes.

Boundary: Standard configuration is not intended for personnel lifting or explosive atmospheres unless specially engineered. Confirm operating conditions before ordering.

Features Benefits

Controlled speed and position — The servo drive provides adjustable, low-speed operation with PLC system integration, helping operators run repeatable lifting and positioning sequences with improved process control.
Orderly rope winding — Grooved drums with rope followers guide each layer into place during low-tension operation, helping reduce loose winding and rope crossover when the system is correctly installed and adjusted.
Smooth, low-noise power transmission — The K-series hardened tooth surface gearbox delivers a 127.68:1 reduction with reliable meshing, supporting stable operation under rated duty.
Defined travel limits — The mechanical height limiter allows flexible setting of upper and lower positions, providing a mechanical reference for travel control and helping protect the equipment and load during operation.

Size Installation and System Interface

The winch is delivered on a single steel base frame with pre-drilled mounting holes for floor fixing. Overall dimensions, mounting orientation and rope exit direction are confirmed on the general arrangement drawing after configuration approval.

Available interfaces include: servo motor control signal, PLC communication (fieldbus options configurable), limit switch outputs, encoder feedback (optional), remote control (optional). Electrical interfaces are defined in the final wiring diagram.

Control Safety and Protection

- Normal control: servo drive with PLC system integration; speed and sequence programmable for repeatable operation.
- Travel protection: mechanical height limiter with flexibly set upper/lower limits; limit switch outputs configurable.
- Stopping: motor-side braking as standard; configuration can be reviewed for duty and holding requirements.
- Emergency stop: E-stop circuit per the final control scheme; power-loss behavior defined at configuration approval.
- Protection: enclosure and cable entries specified for the installation environment.

Standard vs optional items are confirmed on the control scheme for each order.

Customization Options and Engineering Process

Configured around your operating conditions — Share the required lifting load, rope travel and diameter, operating speed, duty cycle, power supply, installation envelope and environment. KLD will review the application and provide a proposed configuration, technical drawing and quotation for approval. Free design schematics are provided for different scenarios.

Standards Testing and Quality

The company operates an ISO 9001 quality management system. CE conformity documents (LVD, EMC) are available for applicable configurations on request.

Factory testing follows the approved technical specification for each configured unit and may include: no-load run, rated-load operation, brake function, limit function and control verification. Available documentation may include dimensional drawings, electrical diagrams, inspection records and functional test results, depending on project scope.

Engineering Cases

Application example: aerospace research facility
Challenge: A national aerospace research institute required slow, repeatable lifting and positioning of a test assembly, with orderly rope winding and defined travel limits. Solution: A servo-driven dual-drum winch with PLC integration, grooved drums with rope followers and a mechanical height limiter, supplied to the project specification (2000 kg class). Outcome: The winch completed the customer's functional acceptance procedure for the planned test sequence.
